LBL is worth the trip, but you definitely need about 3 days, in which you stay on the Kentucky side, passing across the entire Land Between the Lakes island, and cross the 60/68 bridge into Ky, where there's a particularly laid-back and CHEAP set of cabins/store/gas-type joint called "parkview cottages", not a quarter mile from the road going up to Lake Barkly State Park.

Then, when you wake up the next day, you go down to the BITCHIN' civil war fort (forgot it's name) at the southern tip of LBL. It kicks ass. Also check the Golden Pond visitors center. It kicks ass too, but not as much as the fort.

North, all the way up the island, 30-40 (?) miles or so, is some good shops and touristy crapola if your trek is laden with a lady's soft touch and instinct for driving up the GNP of this country's ecomomy. Kuttuwa, Ky, the old pre-dam (Barkly) Cumberland River ferry crossing, is great.. homes there are A LOT cooler and older than in Indy. This is all about 4 hours from the N. part of Indianapolis where I live.

Hook into it entirely, and then you'll have a firm handle on nature's (plant, animal, and lady human) majesty. This is the place to go.

I think that Batman would have many problems with just the T100. BUT he'd find a way to win. For one, he has the resources. For another, he has the mind.
